because it was only iPhone 4 to iPhone 4. Then they expanded and made facetime possible on iPod Touch 4. And then the Macs. This needless to say, was quite impressive. However, to me, Facetime always seemed like a lightweight iChat which would work on iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 too. What, however, does seem weird to me, though, is the fact that Apple hyped this so much. I don't see why not add an iChat app for the iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4. Facetime, so far, is merely a cross-device iChat with less features and more bugs.
