Well, for one, its multi touch. There's NO ONE who doesnt like that. And then, the obvious "accelerometer" (motion sensor for gaming and stuff), wi-fi, music, videos.
So, what's in the new one ?
For one, they've added a camera... oh wait TWO and HD Quality Video AND retina display. Secondly... Lets just list the features

My Opinion - For
Well, for one, I love the retina display. And the fact that it has 2 (although low-res) cameras, multi touch and an accelerometer seems like an added bonus. Not to mention the fact that it has wi-fi, is relatively affordable and can be carried aroundin your pocket.
My Opinion - Against
It really is a great product. You cant argue with that. However, in my opinion, a multi-touch ipod like this one has potential for much more and the only change which I was REALLY impressed by is the retina display. Camera... to me doesnt seem so great a feature as you probably already have one in your phone - probably one that's more than 1MP (which you carry everywhere) AND your computer (which is generally at home). whereas you wouldnt carry the ipod around much. And Facetime, as i might have mentioned earlier, is merely to publicise the fact that it has a camera through the means of an attractive video calling facility.
So... Should I buy it ?
Well, that really depends. if you love the camera part of it, and don't feel like changing your phone, and you plan to use it mainly for music and the occasional games (and of course, if you plan on carrying it around quite a bit ), then you should definitely buy it. On the other hand, if you want something for more hardcore gaming and web browsing then I suggest you go for the iPad.
