This is one of the most frequently asked questions. How to get the music from your iPod and transfer in to your mac ? 2. Connect your iPod to your mac and do NOT let it sync. If iTunes opens up by default either force quit it or click on the little cross in the right corner of the green box in the center of the screen.
3. Open Expod. It will locate your iPod. Select songs to transfer, choose a destination and click Extract.

And Voila. Your music is now safe on your mac.
