Shift the position of your Dock to bottom, left or right end of your screen with a simple click. Simply put your mouse on the seperator ( shown in the image above ) and click and drag it to the left, right or to the bottom while pressing option+shift.

Terminal Hack - Drag Widgets to Your Desktop

For many mac users, having all their widgets in the dashboard area isn't a nice idea. So they often prefer to drag the widgets to the desktop instead. Of course they can also put the widgets back. Sadly I dont like doing that. Still, it's always a possibility.
So to do this open terminal and type -
