Create Dashboard Widget in Safari





Dashboard widgets are generally created in Dashcode which requires a lot of programming. However there is a simple way to create your own dashboard widget for Website updates. Simply open Safari. Click File in the menubar and then "Open in Dashboard". Select what part of the Webpage you want in your widget and click add in the purple slide down menu on top.

Dashboard Widget stuck ? Simply select it ( by clicking on it ) and press Command-R to reload / refresh the dashboard widget. It'll twirl and done. Its reloaded. Enjoy !

Terminal Hack - Drag Widgets to Your Desktop

For many mac users, having all their widgets in the dashboard area isn't a nice idea. So they often prefer to drag the widgets to the desktop instead. Of course they can also put the widgets back. Sadly I dont like doing that. Still, it's always a possibility.
So to do this open terminal and type -

defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES
